Job Openings for DSP Engineers
As a DSP Firmware Engineer, you will work on industry-leading signal processing applications and help enable leading consumer electronics OEMs to deliver the best possible experiences to the end-user. Cirrus Logic provides innovative products for the world’s top smartphones, tablets, digital headsets, wearables, and emerging applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead system definition, firmware implementation, and unit/integration testing
- Implement complex digital signal processing systems for mobile and consumer products
- Convert algorithms in embedded C/C++ to/from MATLAB
- Be responsible for software architecture decisions
- Assure quality via CI/CD and assist in test and automation thereof
- Develop high-quality technical collateral for these designs including documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related discipline with 5+ years of experience in DSP firmware development
- Experience developing firmware for a variety of digital signal processing applications
- Expertise in fixed-point DSP algorithm implementation and resource estimation
- Expertise in embedded C programming and knowledge of assembly and optimization
- Proficient in MATLAB and signal processing concepts
- Be a self-starter, outstanding teammate and highly motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of software quality assurance and related methodologies
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with FPGA emulation and testing for firmware
- Familiarity with the silicon development cycle
- Familiarity with industry standard control/data communication interfaces
- Familiarity with use of laboratory and bench test equipment
- Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems
- Past experience in leading projects or/and mentoring junior engineers
